$34 MILLION GRANTED TO ACCELERATE OPPORTUNITIES IN IDAHO

2020 was a year unlike any other. For many Idahoans, there was a heightened focus on innovation, collaboration, and family. As a family foundation with deep Idaho roots, those values resonated in our vision: to accelerate opportunities in Idaho.

We are committed to making Idaho an exemplary model for innovative learning, a world-class destination for accessible recreation, and the most desirable state for life after the military. We support these goals through our giving strategy which is defined by three key focus areas: Learning, Leadership, and Community.

Last year, The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation invested $34 million toward innovative projects, organizations, and people who embody this vision for Idaho. Our giving reflects an Idaho that offers world-class learning opportunities and that enhances our collective sense of community. And most importantly, we believe in making Idaho stronger by investing in the potential of its individuals.

We continue to support great leaders and organizations that serve in Idaho. Whether it’s by recruiting talented teachers through Teach for America or empowering veteran leaders to transition successfully to civilian life through Mission43, or bolstering Idahoans’ sense of community through places like Rhodes Skate Park or Kathryn Albertson Park, we are committed to the individuals, families, leaders, and organizations that make our state a destination where all Idahoans can realize their fullest potential.

I encourage you to take a few moments to LEARN MORE about the incredible work of our grantees and how they are changing the world, right here in Idaho.
