Idaho Education Leader Online as New Executive Director of iSucceed Virtual High School
April 1, 2008 - From teaching in the classroom to heading up the Idaho School Board Association, Cliff Green has an illustrious education career that interweaves education with technology. His twenty years of education experience made him the perfect candidate to lead Idaho students and their families towards innovative new ways to approach education.
Cliff Green, a lifelong Idahoan, began the next chapter in his education career as the Executive Director of iSucceed Virtual High School, the state's newest offering in educational excellence focused specifically on high school students.
iSucceed Virtual High School offers the highest quality of education, the state's most extensive offering of courses including AP programs, a unique iMentor program that is unrivaled in online education and a diploma at graduation. Created by a group of committed community leaders, the school has a specific focus on meeting the needs of underserved students. iSucceed Virtual High School Inc. is an Idaho nonporfit corporation.
The school is a statewide, full-time, diploma-granting online public high school created to address a myriad of student challenges and opportunities. Prospective students include those whose needs may not be well-served in a traditional school setting: advanced learners; full-time wage earners; students with health or physical challenges; and those who may have stuggled socially in a traditional school. To ensure accessibility to students across the state, the school provides a school-issued laptop, printer and internet reimbursement to enrolled students.

Before accepting the Executive Director position with iSucceed, Green spent 6 years as the Executive Director of the Idaho School Board Association - the association of the state's 115 school boards - where he directed legislative, programmatic, operations and leadership efforts. He spent more than five years as the state technology program coordinator with the State Division of Professional - Technical Education and six years as a technology coordinator for Kuna school district. What began as a teaching position in the classroom evolved into a career focused on maximizing technolgy and education opportunities for students.
"One of the most exciting things to me about iSucceed is the ability for the school to respond to families' needs," said Green. "Our focus is on how to ensure students and families get the absolute best out of their high school education. These four years are so critical. I'm thrilled that iSucceed's mission is focused specifically on high school and has what I think is the highest educational offering in the state."
Green holds both a bachelor's degree and a doctorate from Boise State University and a Master of Business Education from University of Idaho. He has held numerous appointements and board positions with the State Department of Education and is a regular speaker on education issues thoughout the state. He and his wife Danielle Green reside in Eagle, Idaho with their two girls and two dogs.
