No Deal Yet for New College
January 5, 2008 - To the public, the transfer of buildings in Nampa from Boise State University to the new College of Western Idaho appeared to be a done deal when the issue came to a vote. But in reality, negotiations to make that happen have been more complex.
CWI Board Chairman Jerry Hess said there has been some misunderstanding between parties involved in the negotiations - namely the College of Western Idaho's board, the State Board of Education and Boise State University - concerning who would get what in the transfer of Boise State's Canyon County campuses to the new college.
