Community College Access
The Foundation believes that affordable community college access is essential to the well-being of the community. The Foundation has provided $10 million to the College of Western Idaho, which provides classes to the southwestern Idaho community. The Foundation initially gave $2.5 million in December 2008 to cover CWI’s startup costs, scholarships and strategic planning. In November 2009, after months of continued success at CWI and booming enrollment, the Foundation granted the rest of its pledge.
