How to Get Involved
There are many ways you can be involved in helping to increase post-secondary success in Idaho. Here are a few:
- Share facts. Idahoans should know the fact, for example, that students who earn a college degree after high school stand to make double the lifetime earnings of those who stop with a high school diploma.
- Sign up for our e-mail Updates and receive occasional messages about post-secondary news and opportunities.
- Talk to a teen: Offer practical reasons to them about why they should go on to education and training after high school.
- Contribute: Help sponsor a college tour or event for an elementary, middle school, or high school class. Gear Up Idaho, for example, accepts donations for their program, which includes campus tours for student praticipants.
- Volunteer: Offer your time and talent. Consider being a mentor.
- Save for college: Learn about Idaho’s IDeal – Idaho College Savings Program.
- Join a community or school organization in your area that promotes post-secondary opportunities and success. For example, click here for an organization in northern Idaho.
