The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation provides $200,000 to each newly approved Idaho charter school.
Charters use the funds to pay for startup costs, allowing the schools to better serve and meet the needs of their customers. The goal: to remove barriers and to support opportunities to increase access to charter schools in every region of Idaho.
The foundation hopes that such projects will lead to reduction in the 7,000-student waiting list for charter schools that Idaho currently faces.
