Preparation
Measuring Up (2008) gives Idaho a “C” grade in the preparation of students for postsecondary education.
According to this bi-annual national report, “Idaho’s fairly low performance in educating its young population could limit the state’s access to a competitive workforce and weaken its economy. ”
Idaho’s profile on the Measuring Up 2008 Report states that the likelihood of Idaho students enrolling in college by age 19 is low — and has dropped by 9% since the early 1990s.
